I don’t know why it never occured to me before that Tony Stark is short for Anthony Stark
I’ve grown up knowing at at least 50 guys named Tony and of course it’s short for Anthony (or Antonio). I know this. I don’t know why I didn’t think it applied to Tony Stark.

Really? It was the first thing that popped in my head… LOL. Somewhere deep inside I was thinking “TONY IS A TYPICAL ITALIAN NAME. MAYBE HE’S ITALIAN? WE’RE THAT MUCH MORE PERFECT FOR EACH OTHER.”
You should read the Ultimate Iron Man that Orson Scott Card wrote. His name actually is Antonio in that one. xDD
